In Marriage

“I must emphasize that being afraid of one’s partner is not a healthy or acceptable way of communicating in marriage or any relationship. Yelling can be emotionally damaging, hurtful, and detrimental to the well-being of both parties.

Effective communication is essential in a healthy marriage. It involves actively listening to each other, expressing your feelings and concerns calmly and respectfully, and trying to understand each other’s perspectives. Anxiety is not a productive form of communication and often leads to further misunderstandings and emotional distance.

If a couple is experiencing conflicts or disagreements, it is very important to address them constructively. This may include taking time to talk without distraction, using “I” statements to express thoughts and feelings, being open to compromise, and finding solutions together.

If a person frequently resorts to shouting during arguments, it would be beneficial for him to stop and think. The outcome may be worse and may not be irreparable.

Remember, a marriage should be built on love, trust, and mutual respect. Treating your partner with kindness and understanding is vital to maintaining a strong and fulfilling relationship.”
